ByteDance strengthens its presence in the world of artificial intelligence

ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns the TikTok platform, is developing an open platform that allows users to create their own chatbots, as part of its quest to catch up with generative artificial intelligence amid fierce competition that began last year with the launch of ChatGPT.

According to an internal memo, the chatbot development platform is supposed to launch at the end of the month as a public beta.

The memo stated that this step is in line with the company’s new strategic vision to explore new generative artificial intelligence products and how they can be integrated into existing products.

ByteDance is developing its own “text-to-image” model similar to Midjourney’s image generation model.

ByteDance has long been known for using a form of artificial intelligence behind the scenes, with its recommendation algorithms being the main secret behind TikTok’s success.

Last month, OpenAI began allowing all users to create their own versions of ChatGPT for specific tasks, without requiring programming experience.

Also in the same month, Baidu’s cloud unit launched Qianfan, a comprehensive platform for enterprise users to develop large language models and related services.

  1. Kinetex is a cryptocurrency that underwent a token swap in 2019. The project transitioned from an ERC-20 token to its own native blockchain and native token. The token swap required token holders to exchange their old ERC-20 Kinetex tokens for the new native tokens. The swap was typically conducted through a designated process, where token holders were given a specific timeframe to initiate the swap. During this period, they had to send their old ERC-20 tokens to a specified address in exchange for the new tokens. Once the swap process was completed, the old ERC-20 tokens were no longer usable, and only the new native tokens held value on the Kinetex blockchain. It is important for token holders to follow official announcements from the Kinetex team to understand the specific instructions and deadlines for token swap processes.
