TikTok parent ByteDance is further scaling back its ambitions in the gaming industry, with the company in talks to sell its games to several potential buyers.
Chinese media outlet LatePost reported on Monday that ByteDance’s gaming unit Nuverse was in talks to sell its games to Tencent. A ByteDance spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday that the company is still in talks with multiple potential buyers and has not yet finalized any deal with Tencent.
LatePost said that Zhaoxiguangnian hopes to sell several games to Tencent, including “Crystal of Atlan” and “Earth: Revival”.
