Bykov: Let’s go to the elections on January 15th, if we keep it up – Bulgaria

“We will not give in to this racket and we will not withdraw Rosen Zhelyazkov’s candidacy for president of the 48th National Assembly”.

This was announced by Toma Bykov from the parliamentary gallery. “We will stay every day, as many weeks as necessary,” the deputy was categorical, quoted by DarikNews.bg.

Radev: We haven’t had such a case

Earlier, Kiril Petkov asked the GERB to withdraw Rosen Zhelyazkov’s candidacy for the presidency of the 48th National Assembly.

At the same time, “We continue the change” is not inclined to withdraw Nikola Minchev’s candidacy for the position, announced Asen Vassilev.

“Let’s go to the elections on January 15, if we continue like this. A budget can also be adopted in March. Nobody wants you in the government. Without you, many problems would be solved”, Bikov told the parliamentarians of “Let’s continue the change”.

Unmatched: Deputies cannot elect the president of the National Assembly

In the first vote, Rosen Zhelyazkov collected 103 votes “in favor” “against” his candidacy, 86 deputies voted and 51 abstained. Nikola Minchev was supported by 74 deputies, 29 voted “against” and 135 – “abstained”. Christian Vigenin of the BSP garnered the support of 27 parliamentarians, 31 were against and 181 voted “abstained”. 27 parliamentarians voted “for” Petar Petrov, 94 voted “against” and 118 people pressed the “abstention” button.

After a long pause, the deputies again voted on the candidates for the presidency of the 48th National Assembly.

Nikola Minchev garnered the support of 98 deputies, 32 against, 110 abstentions. Rosen Zhelyazkov was supported by 103 people’s representatives, 85 voted “against” and 52 “abstained”.
