Build Your Dreams (BYD) has introduced three electric cars in Indonesia, namely BYD Dolphin, Atto 3 and Seal. Even though there are no official prices yet, consumers can now order these three products in Indonesia.
Head of Marketing Communication PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther T. Pandjaitan, said that his party already has 11 dealers serving unit orders. Apart from that, his party also opened ordering stalls in large malls in DKI Jakarta to attract more consumers.
“So apart from dealers, BYD cars can also be ordered at big malls in Jakarta. I think that’s enough to get closer to consumers, the attention is also quite good,” said Luther to media crew in Bandung, West Java, recently This.

Luther explained that consumers who want to order a BYD electric car only need to pay for a receipt starting from IDR 10 million. Later, those who have paid the receipt will receive earlier information regarding the price and delivery date.
Interestingly, added Luther, the finished sign is not binding. So, the money that has been deposited is not forfeited when the consumer cancels the order.
“So we set the money for the finished sign, but it’s not binding. The nominal amount is also not big, only IDR 10-20 million. It’s different from the DP, if it doesn’t work (the money) is returned (to the customer),” he explained.
For the record, two weeks after being introduced, almost a thousand units of BYD’s three electric cars have been ordered in Indonesia. This indicates how high the interest of Indonesian consumers is in BYD products.
“In total, almost a thousand units (have been ordered), including sales in showrooms and malls,” he said.

According to Luther, the composition of vehicle orders can be said to be balanced. In fact, previously, Seal was the model most sought after by consumers in Indonesia.
“The composition is more or less the same. At first, Seal was dominant, but after a while it became even. We could say 30 percent each. So it was enough to attract good market interest,” he said.
BYD Car Price Leaks
According to leaks from the dealer, the prices of the three BYD electric cars will be quite competitive. BYD Dolphin is likely to be sold for under IDR 500 million. Meanwhile, the other two electric cars are likely to be priced at IDR 500-700 million.
In more detail, the dealer revealed that the estimated price for the BYD Dolphin is IDR 450 million. Meanwhile, the BYD Atto 3 is likely to be sold for IDR 500 million. And the BYD Seal will be sold at around IDR 700 million.
“But that’s just an estimate because the official price has not been announced,” said the dealer.
