By the Stream by Hong Sang-soo is named best film at the 62nd Gijón Film Festival

25/11/2024 – Among the films awarded at the Asturian event are also new works by Boris Lojkine, Marta Mateus, Matthias Glasner and Arnaud and Jean-Marie Larrieu

On Saturday, the international jury of the 62nd Gijón International Film Festival (FICX), made up of Belen Funes, Sergio Oksman and Mark Personhanded out a slew of prizes in the Official Section – Albar Competition. Best Feature Film was won by By the Streamdirected by Hong Sang-soo (South Korea); the AISGE Award for Best Actress went to Kim minhee for the same film; and About Sangare was awarded Best Actor for his role in Boris Lojkin’s Souleymane’s Story [+lireaussi :[+lireaussi :

The prizes of the Semilleru LabFICX’s industry programme, were also announced. Out of the projects in development, the SEMILLERU Lab Asturias Paraíso Natural Film Commission Award (for a gross amount of €4,000) went to The Island by Ismael Sordo. The SEMILLERU Lab (Post)Production Award was given to Moon in Scorpio by directors Aizpea de Atxa and Maria Corrias.
