The British newspaper The Sun aired a new problem of the British royal family with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, when it became known that King Charles III gave the order for them to be evicted from the only house they own in the United Kingdom, which would only leave them with the mansion they acquired in California during the pandemic.
The property in question, and known as Frogmore Cottagewas requested from them within the framework of the king’s policy of reordering the royal dependencies, so they had no choice but to comply with his order and request that all their assets be sent to California.
“We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have received a request to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage,” a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement about the residence located on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The eviction process began on January 11, that is, the day after Harry launched his book ‘Spare’, in which he exhibits several lurid chapters of his childhood and royalty.
So far it is unknown what Harry and Meghan’s initial reaction was, but it would not be surprising if they felt that it was a new rudeness against them.
Although Harry and Meghan have stepped down from their royal duties, Frogmore Cottage was the place they used to sleep when they visited the UK, now they will have to find a new place to do it.
What is Frogmore Cottage like?
Frogmore Cottage, formerly known as Double Garden Cottageis a historic Grade II listed house, which was built in 1801 and since 2019 became the home of Harry and Meghan.
According to the technical data sheet, the house has an area of 5,089 square feet, with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a hall, a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a main room, a yoga room, a nursing, among other rooms.
Originally it had up to 10 bedrooms, but with the passing of time and renovations, its capacity has been reduced.
