Dillom released “Por Cesárea”, his second studio album. This work totally different from “Post Mortem” shows a musical maturation of the project and proposes a whole new universe, a story with a deeply character disturbed and a development of the story that allows it to be read from various dimensions and points of view. The work invites you to immerse yourself in an immersive experience.
The disk is produced by Fermín Ugarte and La Madrid, who have accompanied him since his beginnings, and together they create a cinematographic narrative that goes through terrifying spaces, moments of suspense and humor throughout its 12 tracks. It has the collaborations of Alejandro Terán and his Divergent Quartet in orchestral interventions throughout the work; Andres Calamaro in the song “My Worst Enemy” and Lali Esposito in “La Caria”.
The composition and experimentation process for “Por Cesárea” lasted more than a year. After starting the Post Mortem Tour, Dylan presented an idea and a story to his team and thus began the relentless search for how to narrate the play. As for the audio, what he set out from the beginning was create a timeless album that exists in a dreamlike universe. In order to achieve that sound, the composition incorporated instruments played live and equipment from other eras.
“The sound of the album was finally achieved during the final stage of the process where we decided to record all those compositions that we had captured with elements and instruments from other times, such as synthesizers, guitars, basses and amplifiers from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and even 90’s”, clarifies Fermín Ugarte.
This work is an album no gender, but that contains micro references to various styles, such as Garage rock and Trip hop, and even walks through spaces where contemporary music takes center stage and is intertwined with elements of the Hip-hop.
The sound of “Por Cesárea” is essentially experimentalgoes through different sound stages and genres that coexist harmoniously within the general aesthetic treatment of the work.
During the composition of the album, the Bee Gees, The Stooges, Blur y Pixies to capture his rocker personality.
The composition was made during 2022 and 2023 in Sonoramica y Delta Sound Lodge. For the final recording process, the studios of The Tree, Coconut and Panda where the band was recorded Dillom live and collaborations Lali and Andrés Calamaro.
For the last instance of production, the decision was give the album a more human touch possible, so the drums and basses were recorded live and vintage synthesizers and amplifiers were used, printing as few takes and processes as possible.
