All documents that are needed for the transition to secondary schools can then be handed over, the message goes on to say. The decision is at the discretion of the school management. Berlin helplines available on two days

Schools that issue the certificates on Thursday must ensure supervision on Friday in primary schools and the primary levels of community schools as well as schools with a special education focus.

The phones will be activated on February 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on February 2nd, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The education administration has the contact persons and all the necessary numbers on its website [berlin.de] compiled.

Same regulation in Brandenburg

In view of this, the Brandenburg Ministry of Education also leaves the matter Public transport strikes in the country are asking schools whether they issue certificates early. The ministry announced this on Tuesday evening.

Due to the expected disruption to student traffic, each school can decide for itself whether the certificates will be issued during the last scheduled lesson on Thursday or regularly on Friday. However, the last day of school will remain Friday. Around 317,000 students at 938 schools in Brandenburg receive their half-yearly reports.
