BVG and S-Bahn: Customers have to pay a lot
Energy costs, food prices, rent – the list of areas of life that have become more expensive in recent years is long. And now it is being extended to include the BVG and the Berlin S-Bahn. And this at a time when delays are becoming more frequent, especially on the subways. At a time when even the rhythm has to change because there are not enough action trains.

But despite all this, the Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Association (VBB) wants to increase prices for BVG and S-Bahn Berlin by an average of 7.5 percent. This has already been discussedbut on November 12th the final decision was made by the VBB board of directors.
Trainees look into the tube
Anyone who wants to buy a ticket for the AB region from January will have to pay 3.80 euros instead of the previous 3.50 euros – an increase of 30 cents! The situation is similar to a single ticket in the ABC area. Here the price rises by 40 cents and is now equal to 4.80 euros. The four-trip card from the BVG and S-Bahn Berlin is also getting more expensive. Here, 10.80 euros will be payable in the new year (previously: 10.20 euros).

Most season and membership cards are also affected by the price increase. The VBB environmental card (target zone AB) will cost 76.70 euros for future annual membership. It used to cost 71.40 Euro. By the way: VBB trainer subscription will not be expensive in the new year – because it will be canceled completely. However, existing subscriptions can still be used until they expire.
