BVB – Sturm Graz: Ex-Dortmund talent with an announcement

Probably only very few BVB fans know that. Jon Gorenc Stankovic was part of the Dortmund team from 2014 to 2016. Although he played most of the time for the U23 and U19 teams, he was also often in training with then head coach Jürgen Klopp. Stankovic is now under contract with Sturm Graz. There he matured into a top player.

However, an injury prevented him from seeing his former club again. “Exactly a month ago, during a league game, I fell accidentally on my left arm after a duel and suffered a comminuted fracture of the spoke head. The next day I had surgery straight away. “I’m feeling really good now,” explains Stankovic in an interview with DER WESTEN.

Therefore, he will only have to watch when Graz is a guest at Signal-Iduna-Park. After three defeats in a row, BVB finally managed to break free against RB Leipzig. Stankovic still hopes that his teammates will exploit Dortmund’s weaknesses.

“We have the confidence to do that”

“Everyone knows that Dortmund is a big club and what great charisma the club has. We will prepare for BVB as best we can. We need a perfect day without mistakes so that we can get something out of Dortmund. We have the confidence to do that and will do everything we can to annoy BVB,” continued the Sturm Graz professional.
