Toljan’s contract in Dortmund would have actually run until 2022. Three years ago, BVB won the 2017 European Under-21 champion from Hoffenheim for 5 million euros. In the black and yellow, Toljan only made 23 appearances (one goal, two assists) due to recurring muscular problems.
Toljan flourishes in Italy – BVB still has six players on loan
