BVB, RB Leipzig and Co: These teams are already qualified for the round of 16 in the DFB Cup

While the Bundesliga top duo Bayer Leverkusen (against Eintracht Frankfurt) and FC Bayern (at Holstein Kiel) said goodbye to the Christmas break due to rescheduling in the DFB Cup, the ball was still rolling in other stadiums in Germany on Tuesday and Wednesday. In two Games even went the full distance: both Jahn Regensburg (4: 2 nE at Wehen Wiesbaden) as well as the VfL Bochum (5: 2 nE against Mainz 05) prevailed on penalties. Some teams made Christmas sweeter the day before by making it to the round of 16.

The other favorites, however, showed no nakedness on Tuesday. RB Leipzig beat FC Augsburg 3-0, the 1. FC Cologne prevailed just 1-0 against the lower class VfL Osnabrück, Borussia Monchengladbach celebrated a big win at regional division SV Elversberg (5: 0) and the SV Darmstadt reached the round of 16 with a 3-0 win against third division leaders Dynamo Dresden.
