The negotiations between Marco Reus (33) and Borussia Dortmund have so far not resulted in a contract being signed. Since the BVB captain’s current contract expires in the summer, his superiors are now pushing for a timely decision.
As the picture learned, the black and yellow want to have clarity by the Bundesliga cracker against FC Bayern on April 1st at the latest. It would be even nicer if Reus announced his decision before the upcoming international break.
Born in Dortmund, he has won the hearts of fans over the past eleven years and has won the DFB Cup and the DFL Supercup twice with his club. BVB would not like to lose such a renowned player as Reus. At the negotiating table, however, the club acts cautiously.
BVB halved Marco Reus’ annual salary
Reus currently earns almost twelve million euros at Borussia and is one of the top earners in the team. After his contract extension, he would definitely lose this status.

BVB offered the attacker a one-year contract with a salary of six million euros. Since Reus will be 34 at the end of May and has been plagued by serious injuries more often in the past, Dortmund’s approach is understandable.
Reus will probably reveal in two weeks at the latest whether he shares this view or whether he dares a new, better-paid adventure at the end of his career.
