After four competitive games in a row without defeat, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s coach Gerardo Seoane is not worried about the duel with Borussia Dortmund. In the 103rd meeting between the two traditional clubs, Dortmund’s home record has been flawless for almost ten years. In total, BVB won 16 of their last 17 home games against the guests from the Lower Rhine. “It doesn’t matter,” said Seoane before the game in the packed Dortmund stadium.

“We know what kind of task this is,” said the Swiss. “You need a complete performance as a team. We absolutely have to be willing to work defensively,” demanded the head coach, who recently won three home games in a row with his team and only lost one of five away games.
Goalkeeper Jonas Omlin (shoulder) and defender Ko Itakura (ankle) are still missing from the regular lineup. In attack, both central strikers, Jordan Siebatcheu and Tomas Cvancara, have legitimate hopes of playing. “We will both need time together, in whatever order, or both of us,” Seoane explained.
