Dortmund – Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund will have to do without Mats Hummels in the cup round of 16 against SC Paderborn on Tuesday evening.

The 2014 world champion is not available for the duel with the lower class opponent due to a knee injury. Compared to the starting line-up for the Bundesliga game against Augsburg (3-1) three days earlier, coach Edin Terzic made a total of four changes. Emre Can, Lukasz Piszczek, Jude Bellingham and Nico Schulz play from the start. Captain Marco Reus, on the other hand, is initially only sitting on the bench.

Werder Bremen will go into the round of 16 against the second division soccer team Greuther Fürth without Ömer Toprak. The head of defense initially only sits on the bench in the Weser Stadium. Toprak had to be replaced shortly before the end of the 1-1 draw against FC Schalke 04. Niklas Moisander is joining the team for him. Leonardo Bittencourt, also slightly battered, initially sits on the bench. Milot Rashica, on the other hand, is in the starting eleven and storms alongside Josh Sargent.
