Buzludzha peak turned red again Today.dir.bg

Thousands of socialists gathered at the traditional gathering of the left on Buzludzha Peak to mark 130 years of organized socialist movement in Bulgaria, BTA reported.

A week before the early parliamentary elections, the leaders of the BSP for Bulgaria lists and representatives of the coalition partners also came here. They took the stage to the sounds of the song “One Bulgarian Rose” performed by Margarita Hranova, and BSP leader Cornelia Ninova went to the people on the lawn and handed them red roses.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iskra Baeva from the initiative committee for the celebration of the 130th anniversary recalled how the Bulgarian Social Democracy was born and pointed out the tasks of the BSP and the left community in our country. To build a more human world, she finally called.

BSP leader Cornelia Ninova said that today they are in Buzludzha to pay tribute to Dimitar Blagoev and his supporters, who started here 130 years ago. 130 years of struggles, rising and falling, mistakes and ups and downs, but 130 years of striving for a better future for Bulgaria, she said.

The change started with us and it is our duty to complete it, Ninova said on the occasion of the July 11 elections. She said there would be a recalculation of pensions if there was any condition for setting up a cabinet.

This year the award of the National Assembly of the BSP in the name of Dimitar Blagoev was given to Prof. Petar-Emil Mitev.

From the morning on the historic meadow under the top, wonderful people curled up to the sounds of Berkovitsa brass music. Traditionally, there was a stand of the Duma newspaper at the fair, as well as an appetizing grill.
