On world markets, wheat and corn continue to rise in price, although less, rapeseed went down
On Sofia Stock Exchange JSC trading in the “Zarno” subdistrict was active this week, the stock exchange reports. After the previous week’s bread wheat trades from old harvests made on price from BGN 314.00/t EXW delivery, now a large quantity from this year’s harvest is wanted at the higher price of BGN 370.00/ton. The buyer wants 134,500 tons.
For fodder wheat, demand is at BGN 340.00 – 362.00/ton, sellers are at BGN 400.00/ton.
There is also an offer of fodder barley at a price of BGN 320.00/ton, corn at BGN 360.00-380.00/ton and oilseed sunflower at BGN 820.00-840.00/ton.
After the dynamic turn in the first days of September, during the past week the movement of the prices of the main grain contracts on the world markets is more contradictory, writes the SSB in its weekly overview. FOB Chicago bread wheat rose again, but much weaker than before – up $7.00 to $246.00/t for September delivery, France also followed the upward trend up by €5.00 to EUR 223.00/ton. Ukraine and Russia reversed last week’s decline, adding $3.00 and $1.00 each to $226.00/t and $216.00/t, respectively.
US corn price action after a significant earlier rise has now moderated – up $1.00 to $205.00/t, France up €5.00 to €206.00/t, and in Ukraine up $2.00 to $202.00/t.
Barley prices in Ukraine have again stalled at $185.00/t for September delivery, and Euronext canola for November delivery is down -3.50 this week, after its sharp rise and subsequent collapse. EUR to EUR 466.25/ton.
Crude sunflower oil contracts on the Rotterdam Exchange for September delivery lost ground the most, shedding $40.00 to $1,050.00 a tonne.
Refined sugar also continued its long-term sine curve, down $1.70 for October delivery to $540.10/t on the London Stock Exchange.
