In the current overstrained housing market, finding a home that meets all requirements (in the heart of the city center, including south-facing garden) is not that easy. That is why more and more people are choosing to roll up their sleeves to create that dream home. A major stumbling block, however, is that many people cannot see through ‘flat’ construction drawings. But what if that construction drawing comes to life by means of virtual reality? That’s exactly what it’s all about The Perfect Renovation.
In the new RTL 4 program, houses are transformed into true palaces by means of virtual reality. Thanks to VR, the participants are helped to look through their house at what is possible. The viewer gets to see an astonishing final picture no less than three times: twice in the design phase in virtual reality and once in the actual design.

Every week, two of the three architects take up the challenge together. They each make a design from which the participants choose their favorite. Whose designs wins? And, more importantly, how beautiful and ‘perfect’ will the renovation be?
