It seems finally time. In recent days, various British retailers were able to put a new batch of game consoles online. The coming days would be the turn of Belgian and Dutch retailers. The previous shipment with PS5 consoles dates back to mid-December.
It turns out to be very difficult to buy the PS5. Since its launch in November, gamers around the world have been looking for the latest Sony gaming console. The popularity of the device was unprecedented and the offer turned out to be greedy. The device is sold out after a few minutes with every sale.
Moreover, the search is made difficult by bot networks that automatically purchase the devices and then resell them at higher prices on auction sites. Partly because of this, gamers in the Benelux have been in the highest state of alertness for weeks, waiting for a new load. Although the offer for the Belgian and Dutch market is time and again very small. At the launch, the Coolblue online store had 199 items, other retailers, such as Mediamarkt, had received 2,000.
Previous delivery dates from December
For example, Bol.com has been since December 4 since they were able to receive a new shipment. Even then it turned out to be a modest delivery, because barely ten minutes after the start of the sale, Bol.com had to report that the entire load was sold out. Bol.com itself had sold too many devices, so that certain gamers were disappointed and were eventually placed on a waiting list. They are now the first to be addressed in the next delivery.
On December 16, Mediamarkt was unexpectedly able to receive a new shipment from Sony, allowing them to deliver a lot of pre-orders faster. Since then, it has remained deafeningly silent about new deliveries of the PlayStation 5.
Next week finally new cargo
Because the customer services of the Belgian and Dutch retailers are silent in style, the main focus was on a delivery across the Channel. Because with the previous delivery – in December – the United Kingdom received the deliveries the day before.
In the United Kingdom, gamers could already order via various web shops before the weekend, the British retailer GAME placed a new shipment online on 19 January. Other chains also put the PS5 online.

According to a usually well-informed insider on the Telegram channel PS5 Chat will there be such 7.000 PS5 Disk Edition expected in the Netherlands and Belgium. 650 pieces would already go to the Belgian Dreamland to go. According to the well-informed Telegram channel, Bol would receive 2,200 devices on Tuesday, but that would only just complete the reservation list.
Another option is Amazon.nl, although they depend on the German counterpart Amazon.de. According to rumors on PS5 Chat they expect deliveries on Thursday and Friday. The charges would be placed online the next day. Nothing is currently known about other chains such as Mediamarkt.
Those looking for a game console should stay alert for the next few days and hours. PlayStation Direct: Purchase directly from Sony
There is more good news. Sony is planning the opening of a European PlayStation Direct store, a web store that already exists in the US and where you can buy games, accessories, but also game consoles directly from Sony. Sony is currently looking for one responsible for PlayStation Direct EU, that employee will be working from London. This will make it possible to buy a PS5 directly from Sony, and presumably much larger numbers of PS5s will be directly available for the European market via PlayStation Direct.
