Buy Pertalite Want to Regulate Because Many Pertamax Users Hijrah?

Jakarta

The National Energy Council (DEN) confirmed that there was a government discourse that would regulate the purchase of Pertalite fuel. Not only that, the government will also refine the rules for purchasing diesel and 3 kg LPG.

DEN Secretary General Djoko Siswanto said the rules for purchasing diesel and 3 kg LPG actually already existed. He said that what was missing were the rules for the purchase of Pertalite.

“It’s already there (rules for diesel and 3 kg LPG). The current rules want to be refined, that’s all. Pertalite has not been regulated, you want to include Pertalite, that’s about it,” he told detik.comMonday (30/5/2022).

He said that consideration for the purchase of Pertalite would be regulated, among other things, due to rising commodity prices. Then, there was a migration from Pertamax to Pertalite.

“Yesterday, prices went up, right. There was a lot of abuse. Same, Pertamax went up, so there was migration, right,” he said.

Even so, he admitted that he did not know the mechanism for regulating the purchase. Even so, he suggested that the purchase rules be made as simple as possible.

“I don’t know what the results will be, my proposal is as simple as possible that can be implemented. If the more detailed the more difficult it is to implement, it’s useless,” he explained.

DEN member Satya Widya Yudha said his party encouraged the government to implement subsidies as contained in the General National Energy Plan (RUEN). There are a number of points that are underlined, among others, providing energy subsidies strictly for the poor.

Then, determine energy prices for the transfer of fossil subsidies to EBT subsidies, prepare guidelines for the provision of energy subsidies by local governments whose budget is allocated in the APBD, formulate policies related to providing energy subsidies for people who cannot afford and develop new schemes for providing energy subsidies to the community, such as implementing closed distribution, application of progressive tariffs/prices, regionalization of energy prices and so on.

As well as providing energy subsidies sourced from the APBN and APBD in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

“Therefore, the proposed revision of Presidential Regulation 191/2014 is a good step to improve the subsidy mechanism which has not yet been targeted, and to ensure that the public can buy cleaner energy (by switching from RON 88 to RON 99 gasoline) at an affordable price. (affordable) and available in all parts of Indonesia (accessible),” he explained.
