PT Pertamina (Persero) through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Patra Niaga asserted, as of today, restrictions on the purchase of Special Assignment Fuel Types (JBKP), namely Pertalite and certain types of fuel (JBT) such as subsidized diesel have not been imposed. As for the restrictions on Pertalite and Solar subsidies pending the revision of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 191 of 2014 concerning Supply, Distribution and Retail Selling Price of Fuel Oil.
This was conveyed by Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Irto Ginting, as quoted by CNBC Indonesia. According to him, his party is still opening the registration of vehicles that can buy Pertalite and subsidized Solar. Registration is open on the MyPertamina subsidy website.

“Not yet (applicable), registration is still ongoing,” said Irto.
Until now, Pertamina Patra Niaga has implemented MyPertamina registration in 50 cities/districts. As many as 50 cities/districts are priority areas that are required to register vehicles to purchase Pertalite and subsidized Solar. Some areas of Greater Jakarta are included in the 50 cities/districts.
As of Saturday, July 30, 2022, there have been more than 380,000 four-wheeled vehicles that have registered on the MyPertamina subsidy website.
Previously mentioned, the policy of limiting subsidized fuel is targeting luxury cars. In the study of the Downstream Regulatory Agency (BPH) of Migas, it was stated that cars with a capacity of over 2,000 cc were being studied so that they could no longer be consumed by Pertalite.
Shortly after, it was revealed in Pertamina’s Hearing Meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, that cars over 1,500 cc would no longer be able to consume Pertalite. But this decision is not finalized. As of August 1, there are no cars that are prohibited from buying Pertalite.
