Rockstar Games will release the current-gen version Grand Theft Auto 5 on March 15. The new version includes a number of graphical improvements and options, exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Below you will find a handy overview with all the stores and prices of GTA 5.

It will not have escaped your notice that GTA 5 is a huge success. Since its original release in 2013, the game has sold 160 million copies across PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Separate PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be added soon.
This – now – current-gen version of the game contains three graphics graphics modes† First of all, there is Fidelity mode. Graphically, this is the best choice, with native 4k resolution and ray tracing on PS5 and Xbox Series X, and upscaled 4k on Xbox Series S. However, the game will run at 30 frames per second.
Then there’s Performance Mode, where the game runs at 60fps and upscaled 4k on PS5 and Xbox Series X. On Series S, the game runs in 1080p. Finally, on PS5 and Xbox Series X there is a Performance RT mode, a kind of middle ground with upscaled 4k and 60 fps and ray tracing.
Furthermore, the current gen version includes improvements such as faster loading times, more people and traffic on the street, more plants, improved water reflections and more. On PS5, haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers are used. There is also 3D Audio on PS5 and Spatial Sound on Xbox Series.
Also, this new version on PlayStation 5 uses haptic feedback from the DualSense controller, deploys Tempest 3D audio and generates faster loading times.
Finally, progress made on older consoles can be transferred once to the current-gen version. The same goes for Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression. Additionally, when it launches on March 15, Grand Theft Auto Online will also be free for the first three months if you are a PlayStation Plus member.
