(Elbil24): Norwegians are largely satisfied with their electric cars. This is shown by elbil24’s own survey from January, where we analyzed the answers from more than a thousand electric car owners.
As many as 73.5 per cent gave the cars their dice rolls 5 or 6. However, there were some brands that stand out in a positive direction:

Four out of five remain electric car owners
A new survey conducted by TNS Kantar for NAF now shows that 78 percent, or almost four out of five electric car owners, say that their next car will also be electric.
– For many, it can be a threshold to replace the diesel or petrol car with an electric car. But once you have taken the leap, there are few who want to return, says Nils Sødal, senior communications consultant at NAF.
The survey further shows that only 15 per cent are unsure whether they will have an electric car left, while the figure is 36 per cent for owners of diesel and petrol cars.

Skepticism in the village
But there are still many who are negative about electric cars. 28 percent say they disagree or strongly disagree that their next car will be an electric car, and in total only 43 percent say that their next car will probably be an electric car.

The survey reveals that there are large differences between city and country, where people in cities are far more positive about electric cars than those who live in rural areas. This corresponds with the results of a survey carried out by Adresseavisen recently. Among other things, it emerges that far more people are skeptical of electric cars in cold climates in rural areas than in cities.
– This probably shows that the electric car is perceived by many in the districts as an immature technology, where neither selection, price nor range currently corresponds to the needs one has, says Sødal.

Expects tripling by 2025
At the time of writing, a total of around 375,000 electric cars have been registered in Norway, according to Elbilstatistikk.no. This amounts to just over 10 per cent of the total car fleet. The authorities have a goal that all new cars sold in 2025 will be zero-emission cars.
NAF believes that an important tool for raising enthusiasm is to expand charging capacity along the roads, to curb range anxiety. At the turn of the month, there were 3270 fast chargers in Norway, 922 of which were established in 2020.
According to Secretary General of the Norwegian Electric Car Association, Christina Bu, it is expected that around one million electric cars will roll on Norwegian roads in 2025. To cover the need, she believes that we need 1250 new fast chargers a year over the next five years.
