Blizzard has launched a charity initiative to support the organization CureDuchenne through the purchase of a pet in World of Warcraft.
The Pets for Charity Program World of Warcraft has begun in collaboration with CureDuchenne, an organization dedicated to the research and treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
From now until January 7, players can purchase the Reven packinspired by the life of Mats “Ibelin” Steena player of World of Warcraft who, unfortunately, died from Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Mats Steen shared a very strong bond with World of Warcraft as captured in the documentary The singular life of Ibelinavailable on Netflix.
The Reven package is available for $300 Mexican pesos and includes a fox mascot that will accompany players both in WoW modern as in the progressive servers of WoW Classic. Additionally, the package contains the Reven Comfortable Carrier to WoW modern, an adorable transmog backpack in which Reven rests.
All money raised from Reven bundle purchases will be donated to CureDuchenne, with the goal of supporting research to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
