Quoted VIVA Automotive from Carscoops, Monday 11 October 2021, the service is named Honda ON. Previously this service was only available in Tokyo, Japan, but now the company plans to expand its network to remote areas of Sakura.
So through the Honda ON program, consumers can buy a new car, but by renting it first, potential consumers can choose a three or five month contract to rent a car. Honda offers various models ranging from N-Box, Fit, Freed, and Vezel aka HR-V.
The entire process will also be carried out online, from consultations, price quotes, contract settlements, to car insurance arrangements. Consumers are required to pay a monthly fee which includes vehicle rental and maintenance costs.
The subscription price also varies according to the selected model. Like the N-Box type at US$ 279 (Rp 3.9 million) per month, Fit is priced at US$ 382 (Rp 5.4 million) per month, Freed starts at US$ 439 (Rp 6.2 million) per month, and Vezel or HR-V reached US$ 435 (Rp 6.1 million) per month.
