Butter costs me only 15 crowns. I have a trick to make it quickly

Especially before Christmas, many of us deal with the price of butter. Some people bought it at events throughout the year and saved it in the freezer, while others bet on making it themselves at home. How to do it? It’s unexpectedly simple!

You can also make butter at home

Sometimes we simply don’t have butter at home and it’s a long way to the store. Other times we didn’t want to buy it because it was too expensive. Or we are not satisfied with the quality of the purchased butter. There are many reasons to make your own homemade butter.

If you want to choose a quick and simple way to make butter, then definitely reach for a recipe according to which you can make butter from white yogurt. It will only cost you the price of the yogurt and a few minutes of work – the rest will be done by the refrigerator in which your butter will harden.

You can then make anything out of it – for example, Christmas cookies, which the whole family is already looking forward to.

How to make your own butter?

Before, butter was not bought, but produced, so why can’t you try it now too!

Reach for yogurt with a content of 500 ml and choose a really high-quality thick product.

Pour the entire contents of the cup into the blender and add about three-quarters of a cup of water. Let it blend – you’ll soon see your liquid separating from the solids, and that’s exactly what we want. It should take a few minutes. You can add two or three ice cubes towards the end of the whole process.

Use a cloth

A cheesecloth has always been used to make butter, and it will come in handy now. Strain the contents of the blender through it. All the excess liquid should drip down, leaving only a lump of butter in the cheesecloth. Give it another good squeeze to really get rid of all the liquid.

Then just roll the butter into a ball and wrap it, for example, in cling film or put it in moulds. It will set in the fridge in a few hours and then you can use the butter you made yourself!
