Butchery Jaraya in Den Bosch has to keep the doors closed for the time being. That’s what the municipality decided. How long the measure will last is not yet known. The butcher’s shop was targeted for the second time on Wednesday. There were nine bullet holes in the butcher’s front door.
Residents of the chaplain Koopmansplein received a letter Wednesday evening stating that, writes Dtv News. They were shocked by shots fired on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
Last summer, an attack took place at the same butcher shop. A hand grenade was thrown at the door. The explosion caused extensive damage to the butcher shop and cars parked nearby. A second grenade was found, which had not gone off. Thirteen houses in the neighborhood were evacuated.
Police say the two attacks are related. The mayor has decided to close the butcher shop now. “This gives the police the opportunity to carry out the investigation and bring peace back to the neighborhood,” the letter read. It is still unknown how long the building will remain closed.
