Xiaomi is the brand that progresses the most in the smartphone market. The Chinese manufacturer does not want to miss the turn towards 5G and is increasing the number of compatible models.
After the Mi range, Xiaomi took advantage of a conference organized in China to present Redmi Note models, therefore capable of connecting to the 5G network.
The company unveiled the Redmi Note 9 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G as well as a Redmi Note 9 4G and a Redmi Watch connected watch.
These names are not completely foreign to us, since the company has already launched Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro, two models that we have tested.

To differentiate them, Xiaomi uses the “5G” label and takes the opportunity to update their technical sheet.
The 5G version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro retains a 6.67-inch Full HD + screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has a fingerprint reader located on its edge.
Inside, this model opts for a Snapdragon 750G flanked by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage.
A 4820 mAh battery, compatible with 33 W fast charging, is also present in this smartphone equipped with NFC technology and stereo speakers.
For the photo part, the Redmi Note 9 Pro offers a quadruple back photo module. This consists of a main sensor of 108 megapixels (f / 1.75, Samsung HM2), an ultra-wide angle of 8 megapixels (130 °, f / 2.2), a macro sensor of 2 megapixels and a depth sensor of 2 megapixels. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor.

Redmi Note 9 switch to 5G
The non-Pro variant of the Redmi Note 9 revises its ambitions downwards and presents itself with a 6.53-inch LCD screen, displaying a Full HD + (60 Hz) definition.
This model does not opt for a Qualcomm processor and is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U to offer 5G connectivity.
Xiaomi adds 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 to 256 GB of storage and a 5000 mAh battery. Fast charging at 18W is offered while the manufacturer provides a 22.5W charger.
Side photo, a main module of 48 megapixels and associated with an ultra wide-angle of 8 megapixels and a sensor of 2 megapixels dedicated to the macro. A more classic configuration and completed by a 13 megapixel selfie sensor.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G arrives in China from 1599 yuan (around 200 euros HT for the 6 GB + 128 GB version) and up to 1999 yuan (around 255 euros HT for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant).
Regarding the Redmi Note 9 5G, it starts at 1299 yuan (165 euros) for the 6 GB + 128 GB model and climbs to 1699 yuan (216 euros) for the 8 GB + 256 GB of storage model.
Xiaomi has not mentioned an international release and these prices are given as an indication. Nevertheless, this allows to have an overview and to hope for a launch in France under the bar of 300 euros, or the prices of the Redmi Note 9 and Note 9 Pro.
