Busulis concludes the season of the concert series dedicated to Valt Pūce

From February, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the composer Valta Pūce, a series of video concerts in the living room “Close-ups” took place, in which the groups “Brainstorm” and “DDagamba”, as well as singer Ralfs Eilands took part. Intars Busulis and the “Subscription Orchestra”, who also visited the home of the hospitable Pūči family on the Liv coast, close the concert series on the YouTube website.

In the monthly video concerts of the living room, the artists have performed both the best songs of Valta Pūce and their original works. In this case, Intars Busulis and his colleagues have chosen to perform Valta Pūce’s compositions with Raimondas Vazdika’s words “Empty Glasses” and “I Go Alone”, as well as the song “Heaven” composed by Kārlis Vērdiņš and the composition “Tuksnesis” in the words of Jānis Elsbergs.

The musicians invited to the living room also tell unheard stories about collaboration and friendship with the composer.

Intars Busulis’ visit logically turns this event into perhaps the most generous “Close-ups” series, because otherwise it is simply not possible with Intars. “It was a big surprise for me to finally get to know the work of the group” Marana “,” admits Intars. “I didn’t know that it had such a starry line-up – Raimonds Ozols, Normunds Šnē, Valta’s wife Dace Pūce, whom I have only thought of as a film and TV director so far.” i liked these two. We have been a coma with Valta for some time. Ignorance of songs does not mean that we do not know each other like people. I didn’t miss a good story about the anniversary right away, because we have written songs with Moldovans and Georgians together, which, of course, already says a lot. There was a lot of art and it had consequences. We still use phrases from its creative process in our communication with Valta. In short, all due respect to the Master, who is a great person and composer! ”

The organizers of the concert series “Close-ups” are businessman and event manager Sandis Miltovičs together with the composer’s son Valters Pūce, who is known as the leader, composer and producer of the group “Dagamba”. Both promise the next season of “Close-ups”, which is still in the planning stage.
