Montreal’s famous night scene just got even more iconic.
Following recent visits from Ryan Reynolds and Joe Jonas, Montreal’s latest celebrity appearance has taken the bar scene to the next level.
Billed as Canada’s largest supper club, Yoko Luna—a must-see restaurant nestled in an indoor Japanese garden—hosted the legendary rapper and actor.

Busta Rhymes was in Montreal for a concert at the Bell Centre, which hosts some of the best shows in the city and is just steps away from Yoko Luna (one of our favorite downtown spots).

Imagine a grand mirrored entryway leading to a 6,000-square-foot dining room, reimagined to resemble a Japanese garden.
A 15-foot-tall geisha dominates the room, holding the DJ in the palm of her hand above the crowd, while a team of cooks prepare sushi at her feet.
The supper club offers a larger-than-life experience in downtown Montreal, so it’s no surprise that Busta Rhymes decided to head there.
In a video posted to Instagram, Rhymes took the microphone and told the late-night crowd:
“I don’t even know what the curfew is in Montreal, Canada, but I don’t care. Let me tell you what I care about: I care about people, I care about the city, I care about the country. I care about love.”
After expressing his love for Montreal and the country, Rhymes also did a little freestyling.
Located in the heart of Montreal, just blocks from Time Out Market Montreal and one of the city’s hottest new restaurants, Yoko Luna is known for its fine dining and its subsidiary, The Farsides Restaurant and Bar.
The Farsides, a Thai and tiki-themed venue (yes, it’s as fun as it sounds—see below), recently opened a new location on the South Shore.
