Jay Robichaux was appointed general manager of the Louisiana River Parish Tourism Board.

Robichaux has over 20 years of experience in and around various regional businesses and 19 years as a member of the St. Charles Parish School Board. He began his insurance career with the First American Agency before joining Eagan Insurance and Riverlands Insurance Services. He also has experience as an association and agency account manager at LAMMICO before becoming vice president of sales and marketing for US Premium Finance for the South Central region. He has also worked as a consultant for various sectors. The Norco native graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.

Pool Corp. in Covington, he appointed Martha “Marty” Gervasi to serve as director.

Gervasi has over 30 years of leadership experience in human capital, including eight years as Director of Human Resources for The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. Pool Corp. is a leading wholesale distributor of swimming pools and garden related products with approximately 400 sales centers in North America, Europe and Australia and approximately 120,000 wholesale customers.

the LSU AgCenter is LSU Faculty of Agriculture they called P. Lynn Kennedy at the head of the Department of agricultural and agrifood economics.

He replaces Michael Salassi, who is now Associate Vice President of AgCenter and Head of the Plant and Animal Sciences program.

Kennedy was on the faculty of the department for 27 years and is a professor of agricultural economics for the Crescent City Tigers. He worked as a visiting assistant professor at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, before joining the AgCenter faculty. Kennedy received his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University, his master’s degree from the University of Oxford in England, and his doctorate from the University of Minnesota. All degrees were in agricultural economics.

Alain Broussard was appointed director of communication and public relations of the Louisiana Dental Association oversee its communication, marketing and advocacy activities.

Broussard was a communications intern for the Grand Baton Rouge Food Bank and an associate account intern for Bandwagon, a communications intern for LSU Residential Life and a marketing intern for LSU Athletics Marketing & Promotions. He has also worked on public relations campaigns for Community Coffee, Hallmark, Truth Initiative and Youth Oasis. Broussard graduated from LSU in Mass Communication with a major in Public Relations.

Latraiel Courtney was appointed director of the prevention division for Capital sector of personal services.

He succeeds Vivian Gettys, who held the position for more than 16 years before his retirement.

Courtney was Program Manager, Chronic Disease Grants Manager, for the Louisiana Department of Health, overseeing the creation and leadership of a statewide population health initiative designed to improve the quality of health care and practices. Courtney holds a Masters of Health Administration from Franciscan University.

Capital Area Human Services provides mental health, addiction rehabilitation and developmental disability services in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana parishes.
