Businessman Stefan Terziev, who tried to build a tire recycling plant in Plovdiv, is a member of the State Security. The engineer was born in Kazanlak and during the years of the Soviet Union he was recruited as an unhappy employee of the DS in Stara Zagora. This was done by order No. 62/01.12.1989. Maritsa’s information about his agent past was confirmed by two sources.
Terziev founded the company “Eco Energy 50” in October 2021 with the sole purpose of building the first installation in Plovdiv after 30 years for recycling car tires using innovative technology. His team of experts had 20-30 years of experience in the field of renewable energy sources (RES).
Until January 3, 2024 (days before the investment was discussed in the public space), the company was owned, in addition to Stefan Terziev, by Milan Milovanov, who was a partner through two of his companies – “Wee Wee Fashion” and “Bulbolt”. AM. He was also the manager of “Eco Energy 50”. However, Terziev as an individual buys the shares of the two companies of his until recently partner.
The former staff of the DS is currently the owner of several other companies, but most of them have been inactive for a long time. Terziev’s current business status raises a number of questions about whether he is the real investor or just a face of the project. On the other hand, his until recently partner Milan Milovanov is currently the owner or shareholder in a total of 26 companies that are actively working, as can be seen from the references in the Commercial Register. They have a wide range of activities – from solar energy, through the production of biofertilizers, iron processing, to marketing, property trading and tourism.
