New Delhi: To a question in the Lok Sabha, businessman Darshan Hiranandani said that his affidavit in the corruption allegation controversy was not due to anyone’s pressure. Hiranandani also said that he posted questions from Dubai using Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra’s parliamentary login details. Darshan Hiranandani had filed an affidavit before the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee in which he admitted that Mahua had given him his password and login information and it came out. Hiranandani says that it has been handed over to the CBI.

However, Mahua alleged that the Prime Minister’s office intervened and pressured him to sign the white paper and leaked it to the media. This is what Darshan Hiranandani has rejected now. In an interview with Times Now, Darshan Hiranandani said that Mahua thought that by attacking Adani, he could also target the Prime Minister as both of them are from the same state and are close.
