Last Monday, June 28, the National Government delivered 1.5 million vaccines from Sinovac to the National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia (Andi).
These doses are part of the ‘Companies for vaccination’ program, an initiative led by Andi to vaccinate employees of companies in the country and help achieve herd immunity sooner.

The program, which has yet to reach a million vaccines, joined thousands of companies, 32 unions and more than 285,000 million pesos were collected.
This Sunday, almost a week after the delivery of the doses, the vaccination of private individuals began officially in Bogotá.
However, There was a controversy that caused both the Government and the president of Andi, Bruce Mac Master, to speak out.

This Sunday, the businessman from Barranquilla Christian Daes, dueño de Tecnoglass, he criticized the delay in delivery of the vaccines.
“Private vaccines have been in the country for 7 days. We are waiting for you. Could it be that they send them to us? Time is of the utmost importance. What are you waiting to release?”, He wrote on his Twitter account, addressing Andi and the Ministry of Health.

Immediately, both parties responded.
Víctor Muñoz, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic, he was “surprised” by a trill “misinforming and seeking to generate conflict.”

Daes, finally, defended himself saying that he is a grateful person and that he is only advocating for his people (workers).
