Bulgarian business ladies proved at another Vienna Ball in Sofia that they are convincingly competitive with their colleagues in the shiny halls of Europe. The unique defile in “Marinella” revealed that the socialite is aware of the trends and that good taste has clear and precise rules.

“Protocol must always be observed even in the details, it is not by chance that global brands impose the style in the wardrobe for such events,” commented Anelia Petkova from “Bridal Fashion”, which represents some of the most famous fashion houses in Bulgaria. Gold, Venetian red and emerald dominated the palette, rivaling the classics of black and white. Trains, lace, crystal embroidery, marabou feathers, tiaras, tulle gloves decorated the outfits, decided in the romantic range.

Traditionally, waltzes were the biggest test on the dance floor. At the charity auction, led by Maya Koseva, and at the raffle, money was collected for another charity cause – “Pediatricians for the Future”. The capital’s mayor Vasil Terziev, who was in a duet with his daughter Iva, provided a painting from his personal collection, and Mirela Nenchova donated a platinum jewel with a Tahitian pearl and a diamond. Operetta soloists Olga Dinova and Stefan Petkov performed works by Robert Stoltz and Franz Lehar. At midnight, everyone went into a quadrille under the direction of Raffaella Pegani, a choreographer from Vienna.
