/ world today news/ The good signals coming from the Bulgarian Stock Exchange give reason to believe that the economy is recovering.
This became clear from the words of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski during the official reception on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the capital market in Bulgaria. We remind you that SOFIX, the main index of the BSE, achieved a growth of 42% last year 2013, and since the beginning of the current year 2014, the recorded increase exceeds 20%. “There is a favorable environment for the development of the stock market in the country. A good legal base, a structured institutional framework, an attractive fiscal regime. This gives me reason to count the first positive signals coming from the end of last year and this year as signals of economic recovery I hope so,” said Prime Minister Oresharski. Finance Minister Petar Chobanov confirmed his comment, also drawing attention to the good performance of the stock exchange.
The BSE is launching an initiative to award annual scholarships to young people with the ambition to develop in the financial sphere. The scholarships will be 2 per year and will cover the cost of sitting for the CFA level one exam. The application criteria will be communicated further.
