Business Insider spoke about NATO’s preparations for the invasion of Crimea

NATO is practicing possible maneuvers in the event of a conflict with Russia during the exercises Trojan Footprint 21 and Black Swan 21, Business Insider reports. It is emphasized that Crimea could become an ideal territory for the operation of the naval forces of the alliance.

“Teams of” seals “can land, set up ambushes, conduct reconnaissance at sea and on land, participate in underwater special operations, for example, installing sensors in the ocean and placing magnetic mines on enemy ships,” the publication says. In the text, Crimea is called a powerful fortress protecting the southern borders of Russia. During the exercise, NATO forces had to practice changing the tactics of military boats. Their actions must become more secretive, and their firepower must be used to the maximum. This will allow you to gain the upper hand in the event of a potential operation on the peninsula. This is important, since after reunification with Russia, the S-400 Triumph air defense system and new radar stations appeared in Crimea, the article says.

The exercise is attended by the military of a number of NATO countries, including those that have access to the Black Sea – Romania and Bulgaria, as well as Ukraine, which is not a member of the alliance.
