Bush condemns violent extremists in September 11 speeches

Bush, who was president at the time of the attacks, used the mark on Saturday for a vicious attack on the mob that attacked Congress on January 6, and other American extremists.

“We have seen increasingly clear evidence that the dangers our country faces come not only from outside, but from violence that is growing within the country,” Bush said in his speech in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the fourth hijacked plane crashed.

He said that violent extremists in other countries and violent extremists in the United States do not have much in common culturally.

“But when it comes to their contempt for pluralism, their neglect of human life, their willingness to defile national symbols, they are children of the same ugly spirit, and it is our duty to fight them,” he added.

He said, among other things, that the division in the country today, 20 years after the terrorist attack on September 11, worries him about the future of the United States.

“In the weeks and months following the 9/11 attacks, I was proud to lead a wonderful, resilient, united people,” Bush said in a speech in Shanksville.

– When it comes to being united, that time seems so distant from our own. So much of our politics has become a naked appeal to anger, fear and resentment. It makes us worried about our nation and our future together, he continued.
