Bus trials from Kalideres to Soekarno-Hatta Airport set to begin on July 4

Jakarta

Bus trials TransJakarta to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) is only a matter of days. Trials of the new route will begin on July 4.

The Head of the Transportation Service (Kadishub) Syafrin Liputo explained the operational matters. This bus route is from Kalideres to Soetta Airport.

“It is planned for July 4 from Kalideres to Soetta Airport. The plan will be 2 service times, the first is 06.00 WIB to 09.00 WIB. The second is 18.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB,” said Syafrin to reporters at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Thursday (29/ 6/2023).

He said, during the trial, the public could directly use TransJakarta buses from Kalideres Terminal for free. For passenger drop off, Syafrin said there are two places, namely the Cargo Terminal and the Angkasa Pura II office.

“That segment is filled by TransJakarta, but later once TransJakarta is paid, it will become public transportation. No more employee transport. The drop off is at two points, either at the cargo terminal or at the AP 2 office,” he said.

In the trial later, the DKI Transportation Agency will still review it from the point of view of stops, transit, to the amount of fares that are suitable for the community.

“We hope that in two weeks we will have a complete picture related to the characteristics of the passenger journey, then the operational characteristics of the fare will be determined later,” he said.

“Of course there will be several bus stops that we will prepare on the track, because they don’t enter the toll road,” he continued.
