Jakarta

Rinto Katana (28), PO Handoyo bus driver was named a suspect in the aftermath of the accident that killed 12 passengers in Cipali Toll Road. Rinto, a resident of Purworejo Regency, Central Java, admitted that he did not want this disaster to happen.

“All of this was not intentional, maybe it was my negligence,” said Rinto, as reported detikJabarSunday (17/12/2023).

Rinto admitted his mistake because he was careless in driving. He admitted that during the trip, the speed of the vehicle driven was according to operational standards on toll roads.

“It’s true that the speed limit sign is clear, but the conditions are indeed swerving until you lose control. I’ve passed that route several times, while traveling at standard operational speed on toll roads,” he said.

Rinto admitted that he was in good health when driving. He also said he was the second driver or substitute driver.

“Thank God, I was in good health when I was driving. The condition of the car was also normal, there were no problems,” he said.
