According to Yonhap News Agency, at about 1:27 pm on the 22nd local time, a bus dropped off passengers near platform 12 of the Suwon Railway Station Transfer Center and suddenly rushed towards the crosswalk and pedestrians on the sidewalk until it hit the platform pillar. Then it stopped. The accident resulted in the death of a woman in her 70s. The injured included the bus driver and passengers on the bus, all of whom have been sent to hospital for treatment.
It is reported that the vehicle involved in the accident was an electric bus, and there were no problems with the vehicle’s steering and braking devices at the time of the accident.
