Bus Carrying Student Group Rem Blong, Crashed Cliff in Purbalingga, 1 Killed, 29 Injured

URBALINGGAKOMPAS.com – A Kalingga Jaya tourism bus carrying a group of MI Miftahul Arif Kudus students had an accident on Jalur Bayeman, Karangreja District, PurbalinggaCentral Java, Thursday (3/3/2022) at 04.00 WIB.

From the official statement from the Purbalingga SAR, the accident on the tourism bus numbered B 7084 KAA in Banyeman Purbalingga occurred at 04.00 WIB.

One person was reported dead, six victims suffered broken bones and 23 other victims suffered minor injuries.

“The victim who died is known to the bus code, all victims have been successfully evacuated to Purbalingga Hospital, PKU Puhammadiyah Bobotsari and Karangreja Health Center,” wrote the Instagram account @sar.ancient.

The chronology of this incident began when the Kalingga Jaya tourism bus carrying 53 groups of MI Miftahul Arif Kudus including the accompanying teacher departed from Kudus at 21.00 WIB.

They first made a pilgrimage to the tomb of Sunan Kalijaga in Demak and then made a pilgrimage to the tomb of Sakuro in Pekalongan.

At 01.00 WIB, the group continued their journey to Baturraden via the Pemalang-Purbalingga route.

Unfortunately, when they arrived on the Bayeman route, the bus failed to brake until it hit a cliff which is located about 50 meters before the rescue line.
