Polish police said that all the injured were Polish citizens. They are employees of a German company, informed the representative of the Polish police station in the town of Gozów Wielkopolska.

German officials did not name the destination of the bus. At first, it was also not clear exactly how many passengers were on the bus.

The police informed that a transporter of dangerous goods on the A12 highway collided with a truck that had stopped in front of it on the highway. The truck driver tried to turn left, but his car collided with the side of the bus. The bus crashed into a highway barrier after this collision.

The police said that the dangerous goods carrier was empty at the time of the collision.
