Bus Accident on Ruse-Byala Road: Passengers Break Windows to Escape

The passengers broke the windows to get out of the bus

An accident between a bus with Greek tourists and a truck closed the Ruse-Byala road near the junction for Borovo. The traffic has been rerouted through a detour route Obretenik-Tsenovo-Byala station and vice versa.

The passengers broke the windows to get out of the bus. According to preliminary information, 9 people were transported by ambulance to a hospital in Ruse, having received cuts. No one is in serious condition.

The incident was reported at 12:20 today. Police and emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, reports BTA.

“The injured nine passengers on the bus have slight cuts from the broken windows. There is no danger to their lives. They are being transported by three ambulances to the Kanev University Hospital in Ruse,” explained the Emergency Service.

Traffic in the section is temporarily restricted. A bypass route has been introduced: Obretenik – Cenovo – Byala station and back. The area is regulated by police teams.
