With the top spot in the group already secured, David Moyes had the luxury of resting the players for Thursday night’s Europa League tie against Dinamo Zagreb, and several of the club’s academy stars had the opportunity to impress.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows for the Hammers boss, though, with his defensive injury woes on the rise. Kurt Zouma is set for a long spell on the sidelines after the club confirmed his hamstring injury this week, while Angelo Ogbonna is already out of season with an ACL injury.
Still, the Hammers will be eager to build on last weekend’s win over Chelsea and cement their place in the top four, after Manchester United tied on points with their win at Norwich on Saturday night.

As for Burnley, they have made three changes to the team that started the loss to Newcastle last weekend.
Jay Rodriguez, Jack Cork and Ben Mee enter the side, with Josh Brownhill and Nathan Collins falling to the bench and Maxwell Cornet off the team.

So without Ben Johnson or Kurt Zouma due to those injuries, it looks like West Ham can go back to being a back-four, with Issa Diop and Craig Dawson starting at center-backs.
David Moyes raised the possibility of Declan Rice in the bottom three, but from the way they’ve included the team, if you can read it, he’ll be in midfield.

Zouma Strike for Hammers
West Ham confirmed earlier this week that Kurt Zouma is ready for a spell with a hamstring injury and David Moyes says they may have to consider signing a center-back next month, with Angelo Ogbonna also out. .
“We have detected some injuries in some defenders, so we could make ourselves look different,” Moyes said of his plans for January.
“I think hopefully we had been looking to add a forward player, but we had a problem with that even in the summer window where we were trying but there was nothing there and that doesn’t mean there would be something there in January.
“So I think it will mean that we have to start considering looking for a defender if possible, but we’ll see how it goes because nothing has been decided yet.”
