The Denver Nuggets have secured a Game 7 with a 119-107 win over Utah Jazz. Jamal Murray was once again the outstanding player on the field and played the next 50-point game.
The private duel between Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell goes into the seventh and decisive round. For the second time, the Nuggets turned the end in round 1 of the playoffs and now equalized the series. Murray succeeded in his second 50-point game in the series (highlights in the video) and now joins Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Mitchell, who are the only ones who have succeeded in this feat so far.
Murray played a strong first half (25 points) and then turned it up again in the middle of the fourth quarter. The Guard sank 17 of his 24 throws, hit 9/12 from downtown, dealt 6 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds. Nikola Jokic had 22 points and 9 assists. Jerami Grant contributed 18 points (4 threes) to the win.
Mitchell also returned. The jazz guard scored 44 points (highlights in the video), also hit 9 threes (13 attempts) and also had 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Mike Conley scored 21 points.
Utah off to a better start
Utah got into the game very well, hit the first six throws and took the lead 15-8. Especially the jazz backcourt with Mitchell and Conley played well, but Murray on the other hand held against it.
With 36:30 for Utah it went into the second quarter and then Murray turns up. The Nuggets Guard led a 12-3 run, scoring 16 of the 20 Nuggets points between the end of the first quarter and the beginning of the second quarter, while Denver temporarily lost 10 points and took a 61:56 lead into the break . Murray had already collected 25 points at this point.
