Burna Boy has again disappointed his fans in the Netherlands. His show in GelreDome started two hours late on Sunday. It was a catch-up performance by the Nigerian artist, who had not shown up on June 17.
The show was supposed to start at 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, but images and posts on social media show the artist appeared on stage a few hours later.
It is not known why Burna Boy was delayed on Sunday. The make-up show is not sold out, the original concert on June 17 was. Fans then waited in vain for 2.5 hours.
After canceling the first show, the GelreDome said Burna Boy’s flight was delayed. As a result, he would not be able to come to the Netherlands. Organizer BonBon Entertainment then announced that Burna Boy had indeed arrived in the Netherlands, but too late to save his concert in Arnhem.
The accusations went back and forth. For example, the artist himself claimed that “the cause of the damage” was with organizer GMTLive. “The organization will not be involved in this event or any Burna Boy event in the future,” said the artist.
The Czech fans of Burna Boy also had a disappointment this weekend. The artist canceled his performance at the Colors of Ostrava festival shortly before Friday.
