Burlando and Loan’s mother spoke about the alleged photo of the child in Colombia: “It’s him, he has the same scar”

The family is asking for this new lead to be investigated.

More than 50 days after the disappearance of Loan Danilo Peña in Corrientes, a photograph was released showing a child with similar characteristics in a shopping mall in Colombia. In response to this, María, the child’s mother, said: “It’s him, he has the same scar.” For this reason, they are asking the Justice to investigate this lead.

The image reportedly reached the Peña family on Thursday via social media. In it, you can see a child of approximately 5 years old, with features similar to those of the minor who disappeared on June 13 in 9 de Julio, in a shopping center that is believed to be located in the city of Barranquilla.

According to the account of the plaintiff’s lawyer Fernando Burlando, the photograph has been in the possession of the minor’s relatives since Thursday. “This has generated a lot of concern in the family, a lot of expectation,” he said in a video shared on his social networks.

In this regard, he said: “The image was presented to the courts, we informed who took the photo, that he did so in Colombia, and we provided the judge with the details of the case.” This presentation took place on Thursday.

The family has thus formally requested that this information be certified. “If the courts do not do it, then after carrying out a comparative examination of that photograph and Loan. If we have to travel, we will travel to make the complaint,” said the lawyer.

The photo that reached the family and was presented to the Justice

Following Burlando’s request, the Federal Judge of Goya ordered that the image be investigated to determine if it is of Loan. For this reason, she asked the Superintendence of the Scientific Police of the Federal Police to carry out the scopometric and anthropometric examination between the minor in the alleged photo of the child in Colombia and the one of Loan from June 13, the day he disappeared.

The photo generated a lot of expectations for the parents of the minor and the entire Corrientes society, who have been demanding the reappearance of the child since day one. In this context, María, Loan’s mother, assured that the child seen in the photo is Loan. “I saw that photo as soon as my son showed it to me and I told him that it was Loan,” she said during a conversation with TN.

She claimed that she was struck by “a swirl scar on her forehead and body.” She also mentioned that her son sits in the same way. “We saw the photo, but we can’t do anything, so we’re waiting for Justice to act quickly,” she said.

Along the same lines, José, the boy’s father, said that the boy in the photo “is so similar” to Loan. “Even if he is far away, if we know it is him, we will go look for him and bring him back,” he said.

Meanwhile, the case is still ongoing awaiting new clues that will help determine the whereabouts of the minor or find out what happened to him.

Loan is 5 years old

Catalina, Loan’s grandmother, is expected to testify on Monday. This hearing was scheduled for this Friday, but was postponed until next week, when the federal judge from Goya, Cristina Pozzer Penzo, will travel to the rural area of ​​Algarrobal to take her testimony.

Catalina would thus testify for the second time since Loan disappeared. However, this will be the first time she does so in the federal court, since before the case was in the hands of the provincial courts.

The judge will also be accompanied by one of the PFA chiefs who is part of the Joint Unified Command in the area and is in charge of all the procedures of the case. In turn, the presence of an ambulance was requested as a preventive measure.

At the same time, federal prosecutor Mariano de Guzmán ordered an analysis of the calls that may have existed between lawyer José Codazzi, Laudelina Peña, Macarena, provincial senator Diego Pellegrini and another official.

The focus will be on the role played by the lawyer when he represented the boy’s aunt, since he is accused of alleged threats and bribery. After Codazzi resigned from defending one of the eight accused by investigators, the woman reported that the lawyer had threatened her to promote the theory of the accident.
