A burglar ran into a tree and became unconscious during the night from Saturday to Sunday while fleeing from the police in Oostzaan. He and three other burglars were arrested.
A witness who had heard noise at a medical center on Zuideinde had alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers saw a man running away towards bushes nearby.
They then gave chase and found him unconscious. A moment later the man came to again. After paramedics checked him, police arrested him.
Officers found three more suspects and burglary tools on the roof of the medical center. The police arrested the men and confiscated the items.
The suspects are men aged 23 to 32. None of them are registered in the Netherlands.
