Burgas students cleaned the “refugees’ road” in Strandzha

In the last days of the week, students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Public Health and Health Care of the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov”-Burgas, together with representatives of the “Green Strandja” Association, the International Youth Center, the Municipality of Burgas and the mayor’s office in the village of Golyamo Bukovo cleaned a section of the “refugees’ road” in Strandja.

Along the White River, they collected a huge amount of garbage dumped by illegal migrants.

MMC provided the food for the all-day active work of the students: sandwiches, bananas, energy bars and soft drinks. Eight of the total 20 residents of the village of Golyamo Bukovo joined in the cleaning.

The future nurses from the National Health Service measured the blood pressure and blood sugar of the people of the village on the spot.

The students were accompanied by their professors from the “Physical Education and Sports” Department, as well as by some of the professors from FOZZG.
